💡 TL;DR: Just do it! No permission needed. Embracing the spirit of decentralization, each event is independently hosted, meaning there is no main Devconnect event. We (the Devconnect team) are hosting a coworking space throughout the week, but beyond that, all events are independent. This means you, the event organizers, make Devconnect what it’s supposed to be 🙂

How to host an event during Devconnect 🗓️

  1. Set the goals for your event, determine your target audience, capacity and format
  2. Choose your date using the **Devconnect calendar** to minimize overlaps with similar topics
  3. Find a suitable venue in Istanbul
  4. Announce it on Twitter (tagging @EFDevconnect) and in the official Telegram group!
  5. Submit your event via this form once it is confirmed

📝 If the event aligns with the Devconnect philosophy (see below), we will list your event on the official Devconnect calendar.

Devconnect Philosophy 🌟

What makes Devconnect successful is the participation of various teams, who self-organize events, guided by the expertise of domain experts and the interests of attendees. You, as domain experts, know best what the Ethereum ecosystem needs to achieve and which problems must be addressed in your field.

Our goal in initiating Devconnect is to create a week dedicated to progress. This progress can manifest as concrete technical advancements, innovative ideas, or theoretical breakthroughs. It can also involve teaching people about already solved issues or introducing more newcomers to Ethereum research and industry.
